To land, then bring them safely home in light,
A moonshot’s worth is judged by safe return;
Let training, plans, and mission counsel write
The hard-earned path by which bold ventures learn.

When guided paths meet crater, dust, and stone,
Let human judgment take the waiting hand;
Keep code and crew in concert, not alone,
And steer the scarce remaining fuel to land.

Let alarms speak plainly, yet decide with care;
For warning is not proof that aims are harmed;
Ask what still works, and what remains repair,
Though faults arose, the mission was not disarmed.

Success is more than every aim made true;
Name what fell short, that next designs improve through.
