[Our tool](https://rom2k.com/) breaks it into rhetorical atomic units. 3. It then reconstitutes those units into a new geometry purpose-built for a particular reader persona and wraps it in an appropriate genre. An email. A social post. An essay. ### vs. summarization A summary compresses. Atoms reveal universal truths. A summary asks what the document is mostly about. Atomization asks what pieces of meaning exist, where they came from, and which ones matter for the next reader. ### Why better? A summary is an endpoint. Atoms are building material. The same factual substrate can become a memo, whitepaper, speech, news story, or essay without throwing away the source structure. This allows writers to purpose build versions of their work for different readers while respecting the integrity of the original. ## Writing used to be a uniquely human thing. Literate AI changes that. Writers want their perfect documents: their essays, short stories, their think pieces, their insightful, beautiful, one-of-a-kind monoliths. But many of the people we used to write for now want 15-second media: short videos and posts, bottom-line-it-for-me, anti-TLDR summaries.
