What does it mean to be a writer in the age of AI?

You want your perfect document. Your reader wants 15-second media. AI reads and writes better than either one of you.

Think playwrights dueled in 1600s Southwark? Think Paris 1922 was tough? Think 1950s New York admen wore brass knuckles? Think D.C. reporters and speechwriters live with knives in their teeth? Think L.A. screenwriters and pulp novelists are dog-eat-dog?

This is writing hard mode, son. You’re in the thick of it. And we've got just the thing to help.

First, give us whatever you've got.

Memo. Book report. News story. Speech. Ad. Blog post. Marketing collateral. Whitepaper. Essay. Play. Screenplay. Manifesto. Pulp novel. Short story. Lyric poem ... whatever.

about

Why Read-o-Matic exists.

In the past, writers could create long, complex monoliths that people would readily consume. With 19th-century novels, for example, readers came to the writer and eagerly paid to do so (with money and time).

Now, reader appetites have been trained on 15-second visual media. In this reality, writers must go to the readers. We must transform textual monoliths into digestible, relevant, persona-customized documents filled with relevant value props, native rhetorical styles, and pain-focused data primitives.

The goal is simple: Treat each reader persona as a market of one. Success is also simple: More “ah ha” moments, statements like, “I felt like that was written exactly for me,” and improved engagement in the form of social evangelism, buying behavior, and mission enablement.
